24 Sept 08 - Arh...what to cook har?? I have run out of ideas liao. Just want to be simple n not so much of preparation. So i decided to make a one dish meal.....ha..ha....(lazy mah)

"Dried Curry Pork" N "Balsamic Mushroom"

Dish 1 - Dried Curry Pork with potatoes....it looks yummy right? For a change, not too bad lah.

Dish 2 - Balsamic Vinegar mushroom. I think this could be a good appetizer, it gives a kind of strong smell n taste sourish (vinegar mah). Get to know this vinegar from my sis-in-law, Debbie, she use it for salad when she's here. So, I tried on the mushroom n find, its got a unique taste. For mushroom lovers, maybe u can try it.

Salsa Minced Beef Wrap

Had left a packet of crepe in the freezer for quite some time. So, base on my own creation, I tot of this.......salsa minced beef wrap...

Verdict: Find abit dry, should add more salsa sauce...i think this should work. (will try next time)

Duck n Salted Vegetable Soup - aka "kiam chye soup

This pix doesnt look so appealing, cos, I forgotten to take on the 1st day. I took it on the 2nd day, while adding new tomatoes n some pork ribs. For people who love this soup, will definitely know, this kind of soup taste even better if kept overnite or several days. Yum...yum!!

Green Chilli Prawn

name this dish is "Prawn Sambal Bostadar". It is originated from eurasian dish.

Bostadar means slap, the spiciness of this dish makes u feel as if u have been slapped wehn u eat lots of it.

Actually, i tried, but dont feel it is spicy enuf. I guess, maybe, green chilli not enuf or, i personally love spicy food...hee...hee...

Fried Wing Bean

Instead of spicy fried wing bean, i fried with prawn n garlic. It taste good too.

03 Sept 08 - Its time to change our food menu now......Tonite's menu is a simple dish, light n healthy. I had cooked "mee hoon mee soup" (thick rice noodle n yellow noodle)

Reason being, we had been eating "good n guilty food" for the past 1 mth. My sis-in-law, Debbie, came home for vacation, we are happy n have been feeding ourselves with local food, satay, BBQ sting ray, fish, sotong, prata, fried oyster omelettle etc.

Wing Bean aka Four Angled Bean

let me introduce....believe some of the gals do not know this vegetable.

It is called "wing bean" aka "four angled bean". In malay, called "kacang botol".

The vege is crunchy, it can be fried with sambal mince pork, very nice.

For a Friend - A pair of Call Bells

Had DIY these 2 call bells for a friend staying far, far away.....Parissss. Bonjour!

These 2 bells are actually for the restaurant. The glamorous one, to display at the counter for customers to call for service. The less glam one, for the kitchen staff to call for "food ready to serve" purposes.Just a small gift from my sister-in-law & me to Danny & Lyno!

Hope they like it n not thinking it’s too girly for the restaurant.

Cuttie BB

Recently, we met up with our friend, Constance. She brought her little BB boy, 8 mths old, all the way from Australia. He's a happy BB with rosy cheek, he always put on a smiling face. I had tried to carry him.....Wow, he's so hyper active, he kept smiling, jumping up n down, probably, he's new to the surrounding...i dun know. Anyway, it not easy handling him alone, i'm exhausted. I really admire Conny's courage n energy...Thumbs up !!
